Last night i turn the macbook on click on safari and the mouse began to lag, touch pad had issues with response, then the macbook shut down on its own, after countless attempts to reboot the computer would get no further than about 3 seconds into the apple logo before shutting back down again, this process went on for hours, i removed the battery held power button for 5 seconds replaced battery, safe mode, boot from install disk, reset pram, i spent countless hours looking for solutions and decided to remove the ram and hard drive, checked ram, both sticks fine, put the hard drive in another macbook, worked with no issues, ran disk utility on other macbook with hard drive everything checked out fine, i replaced the drive, same issue, now getting frustrated i bought a new hd, and new sticks of ram, tried booting from snow leopard disk, after 20 attempts the install screen showed up, picked language clicked continue, started installation, 10 mins into it, it shuts off, tried again, after 5 attempts it finally stayed on, finished install, set mac back to my personal preferences, used it all night, put it to sleep, this morning i went to turn it on back to shutting right off again at the boot screen, my only question is, logic board? My 2008 model white macbook 13.3 inch 2.1ghz processor 120gb hd 2gb ram was working fine for the last two weeks, no freeing no lagging perfect working order.
